It can be seen as a revolutionary war of independence from Britain, but also a constitutional and ideological revolution within America. It then discusses the colonists' perception of British actions and their responses which were to culminate in the Declaration of Independence. It concludes by examining the continuing revolution within America after the break with England. This will be of interest to A Level and introductory undergraduate course.
