'A Bodybuilder is Born' was originally published episodically as a serial over 55 months from 2002 to 2007 in Parrillo Performance Press, telling the story of a seasoned veteran bodybuilder taking a young novice under his wing to teach him the ways of bodybuilding. Over time, he learned not only every aspect crucial to success in terms of the obvious training and nutrition elements required, but also the psychological components. Along the way, 'Randy' learns many lessons and enjoys progress as well as setbacks, all presented in a style that is at once informative and humorous. The series became so popular that it was reprinted in Ironman magazine.
