Mikila, Tripp, and Valt, three young Clan Wolf MechWarriors, must face their greatest challenges in service to their Clan.
For Mikila and Tripp, their pirate pursuit comes to a head as, with the help of Mikila's Cloud Cobra friend, they locate the pirates' base on a former Cobra planet. But when they move in to attack, they find the base is much larger than they realized...and so is the pirate force defending it.
Meanwhile, Valt is still serving in the infantry on what is normally a sleepy backwater planet. But all that changes one evening when an inbound invading force is detected. Valt and the rest of his Point must put their training to the test to defeat the invaders...and Valt himself must make a difficult decision when the means of becoming a true MechWarrior is placed within his grasp...
