David Ian Hanauer is Professor of English/Applied Linguistics at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an educational researcher and the Assessment Coordinator of the Phage Hunters Integrating Research and Education (PHIRE) Program situated in the Hatful Laboratory at the University of Pittsburgh. Karen Englander is a professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, Mexico, where she works with scientists and graduate students who seek to publish their research in English.
