A dark military romance. Follows the POV of 3 main characters. Captain Jackson River is one of the MMC who leads the elite British SAS unit called Reapers. We follow as he fights wars for his country as war as his own personal turmoil. Jackson is a cold and heartless man who has a past that soon catches up to him. Everything is on a set path for Jackson until tension rises with the unwelcoming of a new recruit that happens to be his long lost estranged little brother that he abandoned 17 years ago, Sergeant Sawyer River. Sawyer holds a grudge against Jackson and wants to make him pay and make his life a living hell. Caught in between this family reunion is Lieutenant Amelia Porter who is the second command of the unit. She has been serving next to Jackson for 5 years and with all the tension comes conflict. Jackson starts seeing Amelia in a different way other than being teammates. But before he can figure that out, Sawyer is already starting his plan of revenge. Amid the family drama and love conflict, a war is brewing. Not only on the battlefield, but within this deadly unit of soldiers.
