Chaolin Gu is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Tsinghua University in China. He mainly engages in urban and regional planning, urban geography, and regional economy. He has published 26 monographs, 3 textbooks, 5 translations, and more than 360 peer-reviewed academic papers. He has been ranked at the top of many academic influence lists in China and worldwide.
