Brock has been on the road handling show dogs for 20 years. At the beginning of the 2025 show season, he obtained a top winning dog to exhibit. The dog, a Boxer female called Mirror, is co-owned by two friends who had to seek the services of a financial backer to help defray the costs of campaigning Mirror. The backer decided that she wanted another handler on Mirror therefore Brock is faced with losing the best dog he ever had to show in his career. He recently hired a young woman, Ashlyn, to assist with his duties at show sites. Both Brock and Ashlyn are faced with career choices, Brock whether or not to retire from handling and spend more time with his family and Ashlyn whether or not to continue a relationship with her current boyfriend that might lead to her having to relocate. This is complicated by the fact that one of the owners, Willow, is in a relationship with a wealthy older man who is controlling and dislikes dogs.
