Description
Abandoned by her relatives on the brink of the summer holidays, orphan Brenda Jacobs finds herself travelling to a strange town to stay with strangers.
The thought that it might prove to be a more enjoyable time than she expected, is confused by finding the last person she wanted to see, travelling on the same train. And again when he offers to let her join with his friends for the summer.
But people she's never met start to cause her trouble, and the machinations of her relatives make her future seem bleak.
Just when her spirits are lowest, an unexpected discovery changes her future completely.
