Chitra Gautam, Principal Scientist, Acoustics and Vibration Standards in CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, working in the field of building acoustics, acoustics and vibrations for the past 4.5 years. She is also serving as Assistant Professor, Faculty of Physical Sciences, Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), Ghaziabad. She is an Instrumentation Engineer and she was previously working with CSIR- Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute, Pilani. She has worked with 9 years of R&D experience in the field of machine learning, IoT and Agri-electronics. She has also worked as a Lecturer for 01 year in NIT, Kurukshetra, India and 02 years as a Project research fellow at CSIR-CEERI, Pilani. She has done her Doctorate in Instrumentation from Gauhati University, Guwahati. She has been involved in many governments, consultancy, industry and sponsored projects pertaining to environmental impact assessment studies with respect to water quality measurement, freshwater fish aquaculture, air quality measurement systems, building acoustics and noise and vibration for Govt. bodies like the Department of Science and Technology (DST), India and the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), India. She has published many papers in national and international journals and conferences in the fields of air quality, water quality, machine learning and deep learning, food processing, acoustics and vibrations. She is a reviewer of many international journals and conferences and also contributes to the evaluation, analysis and control of noise pollution. She has been a member of various national and international committees associated with noise and vibration issues and Building Acoustics. She has been a life member of various national and international committees such as MSI, IETE, ISOI, IPA, SSI and OWSD. She has been a member of various national and international committees associated with noise and vibration issues and Building Acoustics. She has been the editor of book "Handbook of Vibroacoustics, Noise and Harshness".
