Fred Garber has been writing off and on since his days at the University of Iowa. He has been practicing Transcendental Meditation since 1970. He once got 4th place in a writing contest that had 3 other entrants. He was lucky that the judges were friends of his. He has been published on several online websites including Poets Against the War and qarrtseluni.com. Jazz and R&B are his preferred music forms. He lives where it is warm with his wife.
