A teenage boy comes to terms with his new surroundings in a rural town with a spectacular marine ecosystem. In a struggle to fit into the slower society, he finds solace in the ocean - swimming amongst the vast varieties of marine animals in the crystal blue waters. That is, until, his father's job puts a strain on his relationship with the ocean, and the small rural town's population.

Person
A little about me. Well, I'm from the west coast of Australia - a place where the red dirt meets the turquoise ocean. White sand beaches. Golden skies. Endless summers, bar the occasional wintry deluge of a few millimeters of rain.
I work as a high school English teacher, where I am constantly analysing texts with students, and helping them find their written voice.
Writing has always been an escape for me - and now I feel ready to share it. I hope you enjoy.
