I am the first of my kind, an immortal warrior, created by the archangel Michael. I've roamed the earth for the past fifteen hundred years, living among the humans and battling alongside my brothers, all while keeping to the shadows.
Our mission? To keep the world safe from Lucifer's minions, those pesky demons who wreak havoc and steal souls without a second thought. Our duties come with a promise: the chance to find our amsouelot, a soul destined to complete each of us in ways beyond human comprehension. Unlike the human notion of a soul mate, this connection is forged by the Fates, an eternal bond that transcends time and space.
Sounds simple, right?
It was.
Right up until it wasn't.
The day I learned of a traitor in Heaven was the day everything changed. The entire reason for my existence was put on hold because there was a new assignment: find the female whose soul belongs to mine and protect her, no matter the cost.
Trust me when I tell you, defending the humans against demons is the easy part.
