Co-founding the multi award-winning Liz Earle Beauty Co. in 1995, which became Britain's largest independent beauty brand (now owned by Walgreens Boots Alliance, Liz remains connected), she received an MBE in recognition of her services to the beauty industry in 1997. Her latest business ventures include Liz Earle Fair & Fine Jewellery (certified Fairtrade) and Liz Earle Publishing. She publishes a quarterly magazine, Liz Earle Wellbeing, and has a series of new books being published.
A committed philanthropist, Liz founded the 'second chance' charity LiveTwice in 2010 to offer opportunity, welfare and skills training to disadvantaged communities. She is an Ambassador for The Soil Association, The Sustainable Food Trust, the National Eczema Society, the National Osteoporosis Society, The Prince's Trust and Restart Africa, as well as a Patron of ACE Africa. She also co-founded the Guild of Health Writers and FLAG, the Food Labeling Agenda. An organic farmer, Liz campaigns on sustainable, environmental farming issues, including pasture-fed milk, ingredient traceability and provenance.
