Quantum entanglement (QE) is the physical phenomenon that occurs when a pair of quanta is generated in a way that the quantum state of each individual component of the pair cannot be described independently of the state of the other, even when the quanta are separated by large distances. The same concept applies to multiple pairs of entangled quanta. QE is at the heart of the disparity between classical and quantum physics.
QE is one of the most, if not the most, mysterious, and yet most promising subjects of current physics. With applications in cryptographic space-to-space, space-to-earth, and fiber communications, in addition to teleportation and quantum computing, QE goes beyond fascination and into the practical spheres of commerce and the military.
With the growing population of engineers in need of a transparent, direct, and pragmatic introduction to QE and its applications, this book, the first of its kind, focuses on the practical mathematical tools necessary to handle QE and its requirements to design optical configurations for QE-based systems. Specific applications include satellite networks, space-to-space communications, quantum teleportation, and quantum computing.
The fascinating issues of quantum interpretation are also considered from a QE, and quantum interference, perspective. The approach is well-documented, pragmatic, and free of paradoxes.

System requirements
File format: ePUB
Copy protection: without DRM (Digital Rights Management)
System requirements:
- Computer (Windows; MacOS X; Linux): Use a reader that can handle the file format ePUB, such as Adobe Digital Editions or FBReader – both free (see eBook Help).
- Tablet/Smartphone (Android; iOS): Install the free app Adobe Digital Editions or the app PocketBook (see eBook Help).
- E-reader: Bookeen, Kobo, Pocketbook, Sony, Tolino and many more (not Kindle).
The file format ePUB works well for novels and non-fiction books – i.e., 'flowing' text without complex layout. On an e-reader or smartphone, line and page breaks automatically adjust to fit the small displays.
