Osman Nuri Dilek graduated at the Ankara University Medical School and currently is Professor of Surgery at the School of Medicine, Department of General Surgery of the Izmir Katip Celebi Universitesi, Turkey. His main areas of interest are Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery, Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery. He is a very active researcher, and a member of several professional societies.
Selman Uranues is Professor of Surgery at the Medical University of Graz. He has acquired an international reputation based on his expertise in minimally invasive surgery, as well as visceral traumatology and acute care surgery. His main areas of interest are gastrointestinal, pancreatic, splenic and reflux surgery. He has published widely on rather all areas of abdominal surgery. He is an honorary member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Surgical Association, the European Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery, the Turkish Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgeryand the Serbian Society of Surgery.
Rifat Latifi, MD, FACS, FICS, FKCS, is a Professor and Chairman of surgery at New York Medical College (NYMC), School of Medicine, and Director of the Department of Surgery at Westchester Medical Center Health Network. Dr. Latifi's special clinical interests are in complex re-operative surgery, geriatric surgery, telemedicine, trauma and nutrition support for critically ill patients. He is the author or co-author of more than 250 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, has written or edited 19 books, and serves on the editorial boards of a number of peer-reviewed journals. He is the founding president and Fellow of Kosova College of Surgeons and the Editor-in-Chief of Kosova Journal of Surgery. In addition, he is an associate editor of the Journal of Trauma and Emergency Surgery and section editor of Hernia Journal.
