Description
Erin Davis, a popular radio broadcaster, was on set in Jamaica when she received the news that her daughter, Lauren, had died. Lauren, only twenty-four years old and seemingly healthy, had woken in the night to feed her baby. In the morning, her husband found her lifeless body on their bed. Struck with grief and unable to find the answer to why Lauren had died, Erin and her husband, Rob, started the long journey through their loss, determined not only to survive but also to reclaim the joy in their lives.
At once heartbreaking and profound, Mourning Has Broken is the story of one family's determination to regain their optimism and hope for the future. Originally from Edmonton, ERIN DAVIS is a radio broadcaster and was the popular, long-time co-host of 98.1 CHFI's morning show in Toronto. After Lauren's death, Erin decided to return to her radio work, staying on for eighteen months. At that point, she chose to retire from daily radio and moved with her husband, Rob Whitehead, to Victoria, BC. Erin appears regularly as a freelance voice artist emcee and a keynote speaker for many organizations and events in Canada and the US.
