The Star with the Broken Rope

Betrayed by his own family during his coming-of-age trial, Aaron is cast out of his village and into the civilization of the city. In a world threatened with imminent destruction and ripped apart by internal politics, he must find his way back home by seeking out the only person able to help him, an exile banished deep within a labyrinth of half-forgotten caverns. Set in the world of 'the cliff', where people have adapted to living permanently upon the vertical rock of the limitless cliff face, Aaron's world is one of constantly climbing and descending, cleaving to the cold stone and wondering if today might be the unlucky day of your final fall into the void. Aaron's destiny is to fall but to rise again and carry the hopes of his whole world with him.
