Drifting cowmen Long Jim and Windy never expected trouble when they rode into the V Bar Ranch. Instead, they find fear hanging over the spread like a storm cloud.
Lincoln Fervans ? crippled, desperate, and terrified for his young wife ? has been receiving threatening notes signed with a single name: Miguel.
Certain death is closing in, Fervans sells the ranch to Long Jim and Windy and begs them to uncover the truth before it's too late.
But the deeper the two saddle tramps dig, the deadlier the mystery becomes.
Hidden enemies stalk the range. Guns blaze in the night. And somewhere out on the frontier, a ruthless killer is waiting to strike again.
Now Long Jim and Windy must risk everything to expose the man behind the threats, stay alive long enough to fight back, and return the V Bar Ranch to its rightful owners.
Because on this stretch of the West, justice comes at the point of a gun.
