In Jack of Hearts, the unyielding Jack is assigned an impossible task: keeping the fiery and resilient Eve safe from her own criminal family, who are determined to see her dead. Jack, a man of few words and fewer emotions, has built an impenetrable wall of ice around his heart. Known for his unwavering loyalty, formidable strength, and silent demeanour, he is the embodiment of stoic masculinity. His rugged good looks and size make him even more intimidating.
Eve, on the other hand, is a force of nature. Curvy, sassy, and fierce, she hides her fear behind a veneer of strength and attitude. The recent loss of her best friend, killed by the very family now hunting her, has left her heart shattered and her spirit wounded. Despite her grief, Eve refuses to be a victim. She's determined to fight back, even if it means confronting her deepest fears.
As Jack and Eve are thrown together in a life and death game of cat and mouse, their clashing personalities spark tension and unexpected attraction. Eve's sharp wit and defiance challenge Jack's stoic exterior, while Jack's unwavering presence and silent strength become a lifeline for Eve in her darkest moments.
Can Eve break through the fortress of ice encasing Jack's heart?
In a world where trust is scarce and danger is constant, Jack and Eve must learn to rely each other. Their journey is one of healing, redemption, and an undeniable passion that neither can ignore. Together, they will confront their pasts, face their enemies, and discover a love that is as fierce and unyielding as they are.
Jack of Hearts is a tale of love and resilience, proving that sometimes, the strongest hearts are the ones that have been broken the most, and opposites do indeed, attract.

Person
Vicki was born in Orange, NSW. When she was two years old her family moved to Dapto, a southern suburb of Wollongong. She was kicked out of pre-school at the age of four (for reasons that she will keep to herself).
When she was sixteen she moved with her parents and two sisters (Vicki is the typically misunderstood middle child) to the ACT where, ironically she studied Child Care so she could work in a pre-school. Now, at the age of 45 she still lives in Canberra with her husband and three adult/teenage children.
Vicki works full time (not in the child care industry!) and is an avid baker. She spends her time taxiing her kids around and baking cup cakes for all the kids who constantly fill the house.
Vicki has always enjoyed writing and is now taking the time to put her stories to print.
