Collins was the first member of Congress to endorse Donald J. Trump for president in 2016 and served on Trump's presidential transition team.
Collins is a serial entrepreneur with a successful private sector career, which includes owning twenty-two different companies.
Collins is a graduate of NC State University with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and was honored to be inducted into the NC State Mechanical Engineering Hall of Fame. He is also a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with an MBA.
