Ahem. God?? Pssttt! Are you there?!
It's bedtime after a rough day, and the last thing Mera wants is to be alone in the dark. Reflecting on her dad's nightly refrain-"Be sure of this, and always know-Jesus is with you. You are never alone!"-leads Mera into a humorous and tender conversation with God as she learns what it means to rest in Jesus's loving presence.

Persons
Gillian Reid is a British artist, born in Northern Ireland, where she grew up drawing Disney characters from paused videotapes. Through school, she never put down her pencil and in 2008 she graduated from university with a degree in Animation Production. Since then she has been working as a character designer for TV, film, and commercials. Now she is bringing her designs from the screen to books! Gillian is the illustrator of the Nellie Nutgraf and Kitty and Dragon early reader series, available from EPIC! Books. She lives in Ontario, Canada, with her cat, Frank, and her human, Matt. When she's not illustrating, she enjoys doing crafts, watching movies, and, if time allows, playing Super Nintendo.
