Description
Martha lives with her aunt, the village healer, in the farming village of Yarrow in the kingdom of Wikland. She discovers the World Spirit has given her the gift of a healing touch, which is more effective than her aunt's traditional remedies. However, people view her talent as witchcraft, and she has to flee the village.
She embarks on a journey that takes her across the kingdom, learning about her unique gifts and discovering through nature the World Spirit in action. Her experiences are sublime, but she yearns for a sense of purpose and a place in the community.
A chance encounter leading to an unexpected romance forces Martha to decide between her sense of duty and her desire to love and be loved. The fate of the kingdom depends on her choice.
