This book is tripartite with one part of Jewish origin and the following two of Christian origin. Whilst it does not constitute a canonical part of either faith, it certainly has an impact on the way in which biblical mythology is conceived.
R.H. Charles was a distinguished scholar in his area and contributed to other scholars working in the field over many years with his linguistic analysis. He portrays a variety of narratives that are absent from mainstream Christian traditions including the anticipation of the Antichrist as well as the canonical belief in the second coming of Christ. This volume also allows us to appreciate the diversity of biblical myth in the early part of the era following the birth of Christ prior to the organised concentration and editing of biblical tales. Charles also maintained that we need information about the corruption of the early church in order to appreciate the content of the Bible.
This work will be of keen interest to those who enjoy biblical history, myth and comparative linguistic study. It is the work of a linguist, a librarian and a lover of stories.

The file format PDF always displays a book page identically on any hardware. This makes PDF suitable for complex layouts such as those used in textbooks and reference books (images, tables, columns, footnotes). Unfortunately, on the small screens of e-readers or smartphones, PDFs are rather annoying, requiring too much scrolling.
This eBook uses Adobe-DRM, a „hard” copy protection. If the necessary requirements are not met, unfortunately you will not be able to open the eBook. You will therefore need to prepare your reading hardware before downloading.
Please note: We strongly recommend that you authorise using your personal Adobe ID after installation of any reading software.
