John Chambers has won several major poetry competitions and has been published in The Spectator, The Irish Times Poetry Ireland Review and in New Irish Writing. His work has appeared in numerous other anthologies and magazines. 101 Irish Lives [a compendium of Irish biography] was published by Gill. Frank, a recent sonnet sequence, was shortlisted for a Hennessy Award. Odyssey, a major sonnet sequence based on Homer's epic, will be published later this year.
