This book provides a simple, holistic introduction to the innovation process. Translated from the German language 2nd Edition, Methodik der Innovation: Grundrechenarten des kreativen Problemlösens (Springer Gabler Wiesbaden 2024), the authors explain the process from recognizing creative problems to successfully solving them. The methodology used is based on a few basic building blocks, like the basic arithmetic operations in mathematics. This results in an understandable and practical read that clearly stands out from the almost unmanageable number of methods for finding ideas. It is easily accessible for a broad audience. The innovation process is illustrated with vivid, practical examples and comprehensively presented from the perspectives of methodology, technology, communication, business and management control.
The translation was done with the help of artificial intelligence. A subsequent human revision was done primarily in terms of content.

The file format PDF always displays a book page identically on any hardware. This makes PDF suitable for complex layouts such as those used in textbooks and reference books (images, tables, columns, footnotes). Unfortunately, on the small screens of e-readers or smartphones, PDFs are rather annoying, requiring too much scrolling.
This eBook uses Watermark-DRM, a „soft” copy protection. This means that there are no technical restrictions to prevent illegal distribution. However, there is a personalised watermark embedded in the eBook that can be used to identify the purchaser of the eBook in the event of misuse and to provide evidence for legal purposes.
