Jean Boase-Beier is Senior Lecturer in German, Linguisticsand Translation Studies in the School of Language, Linguistics andTranslation Studies of the University of East Anglia, where sheruns the MA course in literary translation. She is author ofPoetic Compounds: The Principles of Poetic Language in ModernEnglish Poetry (1987) as well as many articles on morphologyand translation. She is also editor of The Practices of LiteraryTranslation (with M. Holman, 1999).
Ken Lodge is Senior Lecturer in Linguistics andPhonetics at the School of Language, Linguistics and TranslationStudies of the University of East Anglia. He is author ofStudies in the Phonology of Colloquial English (1984), aswell as numerous articles on phonology.
