Jan Platos received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 2006. Since 2017, he has been the Head of the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, VSB-TUO. He has co-authored more than 200 scientific articles published in proceedings and journals. His citation report consists of 338 citations and an H-index of 10 on the Web of Science, 800 citations and an H-index of 14 on Scopus, and 1213 citations and an H-index of 17 on Google Scholar. His primary fields of interest are text processing, data compression, bioinspired algorithms, information retrieval, data mining, data structures, and data prediction.
Soumyadip Dhar holds his B.E.; M.E., and PhD degrees from The University of Burdwan and MAKAUT, respectively. He also holds the position of Associate Professor in the department of IT of the RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata, India. His current research interest includes Image/video processing& analysis, soft computing, computer vision, machine intelligence, and data security. He has contributed to several prestigious journals, international conferences, and edited books.
Naba Kumar Mondal, a distinguished academician in Environmental Science at The University of Burdwan, West Bengal, is renowned for his dedicated service to education, research, and environmental advocacy. Prof. Mondal successfully conducted twelve (12) major projects funded by various organizations. Till now, nineteen (19) scholars have received their Ph.D. degrees under the direct supervision of Prof. Mondal. The main research areas, like water pollution and remediation, nanoparticle synthesis and application, indoor air pollution, and mobile phone radiation, were conducted in Prof. Mondal's laboratory. Apart from the research activities, Prof. Mondal also discharges his responsibility as a potential reviewer of many international peer-reviewed journals.
Ivan Zelinka is currently working at the Technical University of Ostrava (VSB-TU), Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He graduated consequently at the Technical University in Brno (1995 - MSc.), UTB in Zlin (2001 - PhD), and again at the Technical University in Brno (2004 - assoc. prof.) and VSB-TU (2010 - professor). Before his academic career, he was employed as a telecommunications technician, computer specialist (HW+SW), and a Commercial Bank (computer and LAN supervisor). During his career at UTB, he proposed and opened 7 different lectures. He has also been invited for lectures at numerous universities in different EU countries, plus the role of the keynote speaker at the Global Conference on Power, Control and Optimization in Bali, Indonesia (2009), Interdisciplinary Symposium on Complex Systems (2011), Halkidiki, Greece, and IWCFTA 2012, Dalian, China. ICAISC Poland, INTELS Russia. His expertise is mainly unconventional algorithms and cybersecurity. He is and was the responsible supervisor of 3 grants of fundamental research of the Czech grant agency GACR, co-supervisor of the grant FRVS - Laboratory of parallel computing. He was also working on numerous grants and two EU projects as a member of the team (FP5 - RESTORM) and supervisor (FP7 - PROMOEVO) of the Czech team and supervisor of international research (funded by the TACR agency) focused on the security of mobile devices (Czech - Vietnam). Currently, he is a professor at the Department of Computer Science and in total, he has been the supervisor of more than 40 MSc. and 25 Bc. diploma thesis. Ivan Zelinka is also the supervisor of doctoral students, including students from abroad. He was awarded the Siemens Award for his PhD thesis, as well as by the journal Software News for his book about artificial intelligence. Ivan Zelinka is a member of the British Computer Society, Editor in Chief of the book series: Emergence, Complexity and Computation (http://www.springer.com/series/10624), Editorial Board of Saint Petersburg State University Studies in Mathematics, and a few international program committees of various conferences and international journals. He is the author of journal articles as well as of books in the Czech and English languages, and one of three founders of the TC IEEE on big data http://ieeesmc.org/about-smcs/history/2014-archives/44-about-smcs/history/2014/technical-committees/204-big-data-computing/. He is also the head of the research group NAVY http://navy.cs.vsb.cz.
Jyoti Sekhar Banerjee is currently serving as the Head of the Department in the Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) Department at the Bengal Institute of Technology, Kolkata, India. He is also the Professor-in-Charge, R&D and Consultancy Cell & Nodal Officer of the IPR Cell of BIT. Since 2024, he has also worked as a Remote Researcher on the Internet of Things & Applications Lab (ITHACA) at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Western Macedonia, Greece. He is the former Remote Research Fellow of the Cognitive Computing and Brain Informatics Research Group (CCBI) at Nottingham Trent University (NTU), UK. Dr. Banerjee did his Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Nottingham Trent University, UK, in the Department of Computer Science. He also completed the Post Graduate Diploma in IPR & TBM from MAKAUT, WB. He has teaching and research experience spanning 20 years and has completed one IEI-funded project. He is a member of the CSI, IEEE, ISTE, IEI, ISOC, IAENG, and a fellow of IETE. He is the present Secretary-cum-Treasurer of the ISTE WB Section and Secretary of the IETE, Kolkata Centre. He is the Immediate Past Secretary of the Computer Society of India, Kolkata Chapter. Dr. Banerjee is also elected as the Vice Chairman Cum Chairman Elect in Computer Society of India, Kolkata Chapter for the year 2025-2027.
Abhijit Das has received his B.Tech. (IT) from the University of Kalyani, M. Tech. (IT) from the University of Calcutta and Ph.D. (Engineering) from the Department of CSE, Jadavpur University, India. Dr Das has over 20 years of Teaching and Research Experience and more than 60 publications and five edited books of international repute. Presently, he is serving as a Professor in the Department of IT, RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata, India. He had been the Head of the Department of IT (Jan 2018- Jan 2020) and has convened various committees at an institutional level. Prof. Das has organized and chaired various international conferences, workshops, and seminars. He has served as a resource person in various institutes and universities and television channels at the state and national levels. Currently, six scholars are working with him on different research topics like IoT, e-Waste Management, Data Science, Quantum Computing, Object Oriented Categorization, etc. Dr Das has published 10 patents (2 granted) and 11 copyrights to date. He serves as a reviewer for many reputed journals and is a professional member of IETE (Fellow), IEEE (Senior Member), ACM (Senior Member), and CSI (Life Member). Abhijit is a professional singer, lyricist, and composer as well, and frequently performs in All India Radio Kolkata, Doordarshan Kolkata, and in various private television channels in India, and has more than 30 music albums, singles, and title tracks to his credit.
