Texträume und Raumtexte intermedial

Die Erforschung und wissenschaftliche Beschreibung von Texten in öffentlichen Räumen als Phänomen der menschlichen Kommunikation ist in den letzten Jahren innerhalb der Angewandten Linguistik mehr und mehr thematisiert worden. Die sogenannte Linguistic-Landscape-Forschung ist eine aktuelle Strömung, die das Interesse vieler Forschender und auch Studierender auf sich zieht, da das Phänomen - die Texte im öffentlichen Raum - in allen Alltagsbereichen anzutreffen ist. Im Fokus der 15 Beiträge stehen daher Räume und Texte - gegenseitige Determiniertheit; Texte im Raum, deren Gestaltung und Funktionen; Textsorten und -varianten in bestimmten Räumen; Texte in Räumen und deren Multimodalität sowie sprachliche und kommunikative Praktiken in (inter-)kulturellen Räumen. Die mehrdimensionale und interdisziplinäre Auseinandersetzung mit den im Titel des Bandes angekündigten Begriffen eröffnet neue Forschungsperspektiven und versteht sich als Beitrag zu dem dazugehörigen linguistischen Diskurs. In recent years, research and scientific description of texts in public spaces as a phenomenon of human communication has been increasingly thematised in Applied Linguistics. The so-called Linguistic Landscape Research is a recent movement which attracts both the interest of numerous scholars and students as the phenomenon itself - texts in public spaces - can be found in all aspects of everyday life. The 15 contributions focus on spaces and texts reciprocal determinacy; texts in spaces and their design and function; text types and variants in certain spaces; texts in spaces and their multimodality as well as linguistic and communicative practices in (inter)cultural spaces. The multi-dimensional and interdisciplinary discussion with the notions introduced in the title of the volume opens new perspectives in research and can be understood as a contribution to the adjacent linguistic discourse.
