Religion und Bildung - Ressourcen im Alter?

Wie können Religion und Bildung aus medizinischer, theologischer, psychologischer, psychotherapeutischer und bildungstheoretischer Sicht als Ressourcen im Alter beschrieben wer-den? All diesen Perspektiven ist gemeinsam, dass sie, durchaus mit unterschiedlicher Betonung, Alter(n) im Spannungsfeld von Selbstbestimmung und Unverfügbarkeit betrachten. Zugleich haben die sog. Best Ager einen umfassenden Bildungsanspruch und, auch wenn sich dies durch die Vervielfältigung der Lebensstile zukünftig ausdifferenzieren wird, eine im Ver-gleich zu anderen Altersgruppen enge Bindung an Kirche oder Religion.
Die Zuschreibung "Best Ager" konstruktiv-kritisch in den Blick nehmend, hat sich eine interdisziplinäre Jenaer Tagung mit der Frage auseinandergesetzt, wie Religion und Bildung für Gesundheitsbewusstsein, Lebensqualität und Engagement im Alter förderlich sein können.

How can religion and education be described as resources for the old age from a medical, theological, psychological, psychotherapeutic and education-theoretical perspective? All these perspectives have in common that they consider old age between the poles of autonomy and unavailability. At the same time the so called Best Agers have extensive claims to education and, in comparison with other age groups, close ties to church and religion. An interdisciplinary conference in Jena has addressed the question how religion and education can be conducive to health awareness, quality of life and engagement in the old age.
