Mark J Thomson, MD is an emergency physician. One of ten children, raised in the small town of Chelsea, Michigan. He trained at the University of Michigan Medical School. He began in a small rural ER in with single physician coverage in Novi, Michigan and ended at a Level One Trauma Center in Jackson, Michigan. For many years he was the Chairperson of the Emergency Department and Providence Hospital Ethics Committee. He practiced emergency medicine for 36 years. He is retired and lives on a hay farm. At The Bedside is his first book.
