Have you ever wondered where your odd socks disappear to? Or where the hairbrush you lost last week went?
They're in Lost Property, of course.
It's Christmas Eve and so far, it hasn't been a very merry Christmas. Ben is desperately searching for a model aeroplane that he built with his granddad, when he follows a tunnel at the back of his toy cupboard and ends up in the world of Lost Property.
Ben meets Rodney Treacle, an elf working in Lost Property with high hopes of being promoted to the North Pole. From the dizzy heights of Umbrella Mountain to the creepy Aisle of Socks, the search for the missing aeroplane is on. But when aisles start to shrink and the boxes explode, Ben begins to wonder if someone is out to get him.
The world of Lost Property is as long as it is wide and as tall as it is deep, but most importantly; it is filled with lost things…

Person
Alison Baxter was born in the north of England in the seaside town of Blackpool. Her earliest memory of writing was when her dad gave her a big red notebook that she filled with poems and short stories and even drew pictures to go with them. She was ten.
She always knew that she was going to be creative and when she was older, she went to university in London and studied Printed Textiles. It was during that time that she read the question - "Where do lost things go?" and she immediately thought - they go to Lost Property of course! And the idea for Lost Property was born.
These days she is back living in Blackpool with her husband and their two rescue cats Bedford and Daisy. She works full time in a bank and spends all her spare time writing stories for children.
