When Daci Devlin and Police Officer Dooley Cavanaugh are injured as the women's shelter building is destroyed by a bomb, they are drawn into an investigation that is both dangerous and life-threatening to them.
Left with amnesia, Daci struggles to keep herself and Dooley safe as well as her brother and his security team and their ladies. Even though Don has drilled into his head the security measures that she needs to take, she walks away from him and towards Dooley.
Unexpected events threaten them both even after Daci recovered her memory. Friends arrive to help but even with that help, the investigation seems to stall. A cold case becomes the focus of Dooley's attention and that case triggers events and becomes part of their adventure.
Their trust in God was tested in many ways, but His faithfulness to them kept them moving forward. He proved to be their Defender and Protector.
