What motivates people to do extraordinary things? Most people want to contribute to others' lives, but what causes some to move beyond their immediate circle to impact a broader or global community? In Making a Difference, Margaret Attwood interviews eleven inspiring people, teasing out the factors that set them apart and providing a pathway to taking action on the issues that one cares about. Ambivalence is common when it comes to effecting change: often people want to do something but lack the knowledge or confidence needed to take appropriate action. Attwood explores how to use principles drawn from these interviewees' lives to get in touch with one's passions, expand one's horizons, and overcome any obstacle to really make a difference.

Person
Margaret Attwood draws on her experience as a social worker, Management Course facilitator, and business coach to move into the interviewees' worlds and explore their personal motivations. A member of the Peninsula Writers Club, she has written on her own experiences following separation in From Chrysalis to Butterfly and later in Enriching the Blended Family. Her Christian faith provides an empowering context for her own life and a passion to make a difference.
