Eleanor Stackhouse Atkinson (1863-1942) was a journalist, publisher, and author. Born in Indiana, she began her career as a schoolteacher in Indianapolis and Chicago. She wrote for the
Chicago Tribune under the pen name "Nora Marks," and worked as the publisher for the Little Chronicle Publishing Company. In 1912, she published her best-known work: the classic children's story
Greyfriars Bobby.
