Dr. Himanshu Sharma has completed his Ph.D. in the area of power electronics from Punjab Engineering College Chandigarh. He did his M.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College Chandigarh. He was associated with Lovely Professional University in Division of Research & Development with more than eight years of experience in intellectual property rights and academics. He is currently deputed as Dean R&D at G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur from December 2024. He has published more than 30 research papers in refereed Journals and Conferences. He has organized several workshops, summer internships, International Conferences and expert lectures for students. He has supervised more than 5 PhD students and more than 15 UG/PG students. He has attended/Participated in twenty National/International Online webinars. His area of expertise includes Power Electronics, Waste Management, Machine Learning, and optimization techniques. He has taught various courses to UG and PG level like Power Electronics, Non-Conventional Energy Sources, and Electric Drives, Wireless communication and Internet of things etc. He has edited many books for reputed publishers.
Dr. D. P. Kothari is a renowned Indian academician and researcher in the field of electrical engineering, with a distinguished career spanning over five decades. He is best known for his significant contributions to power systems, energy management, and electrical machines. A former Director of IIT Delhi and Vice-Chancellor of VIT University, Vellore, Dr. Kothari has held various prestigious academic and administrative positions, including Principal of Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur and Head of the Centre for Energy Studies at IIT Delhi. He earned his B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees from BITS Pilani. Widely respected in academia, he has authored over 60 books and published more than 800 research papers in national and international journals and conferences. His work on optimization techniques in power systems, energy conservation, and smart grid technologies has had a lasting impact. Dr. Kothari is a Fellow of several professional bodies including IEEE, INAE, and IE(I), and has received numerous accolades such as the Lifetime Achievement Award, UGC Swami Pranavananda Saraswati Award, and the Khosla National Award. His legacy includes mentoring over 50 Ph.D. scholars and serving as a source of inspiration to generations of engineers and researchers in India and abroad.
