Steve O'Connor is the Editor of the journal Library Management, Adjunct Professor at Charles Sturt University and the Director of Information Exponentials. He is the author of over 60 articles and a frequent presenter at international library and information management conferences and has conducted workshops on library futures and scenario planning across Australia and China, and in Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.
Wyoma vanDuinkerken received an MLIS in 2000 from the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign and an MA in Islamic studies in 1997 from McGill University, Canada. She joined Texas A&M University in 2004 and received tenure in 2010. She is currently the director of the Joint Library Facility but has held a number of additional roles at Texas A&M University Libraries, including coordinator of Cataloging Record Support, coordinator of Acquisitions Monographs, reference librarian and administrator of Virtual Reference. Her research interests include virtual reference, project management, acquisitions, organizational change management, servant leadership, and library administration. She has written numerous articles and book chapters, and she just completed her first monograph. She served as coeditor-in-chief for the Journal of Academic Librarianship.
Wendi Arant Kaspar received an MLS from the University of Washington in 1994 and an MS in Human Resources Management from Texas A&M University-College Station. She joined Texas A&M University in 1996, received tenure in 2002, and was promoted to professor in 2011. Her research interests include human resources and management in libraries, innovation in library services and outreach. She has written numerous articles and book chapters and has served as coeditor of Library Administration and Management and coeditor-in-chief of The Journal of Academic Librarianship.
G. Edward Evans is an administrator, researcher, teacher, and writer. He holds several graduate degrees in anthropology and library and information science. As a researcher he has published in both fields, and held a Fulbright (librarianship) and National Science Foundation (anthropology) Fellowship. His teaching experience has also been in both fields in the U.S. and the Nordic countries. Most of his administrative experience has been in private academic libraries--Harvard and Loyola Marymount Universities. He retired from full-time work as Associate Academic Vice president for Libraries and Information Resources. Author of numerous books, he consults for and volunteers at the Museum of Northern Arizona library and archives and Flagstaff City, Coconino Country Library System. Camila Alire is Dean Emeritus at the University of New Mexico and Colorado State University. She is Past-President of the ALA, ALA/APA, the Association for College and Research Libraries (ACRL), and also REFORMA, the National Association to Promote Library and Information Services to the Spanish-speaking. She has co-authored books on library service to Latino communities and disaster planning and recovery. She was the first recipient of ALA's Elizabeth Futas Catalyst for Change Award and was named one year by Hispanic Business Magazine as one of the 100 most influential Hispanics in the United States.
Peter Hernon is a professor emeritus at Simmons College, Boston, and was the principal (and founding) faculty member for the doctoral program, Managerial Leadership in the Information Professions. He received his PhD degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, and was the 2008 recipient of the Association of College and Research Libraries' award for Academic/Research Librarian of the Year, the founding editor of Government Information Quarterly, and past editor-in- chief of The Journal of Academic Librarianship. He is the coeditor of Library & Information Science Research and has taught, conducted workshops, and delivered addresses in eleven countries outside the United States. He is the author or co-author of 57 books, including the award-winning Federal Information Policies in the 1980s (1985) and Viewing Library Metrics from Different Perspectives (2009).
Ellen Altman, now retired, was visiting professor in the Department of Library and Information Studies, Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand), 1996- 1997. She had been a faculty member at the Universities of Kentucky and Toronto and at Indiana University, professor and director of the Graduate Library School at the University of Arizona, and feature editor of Public Libraries, the official publication of the Public Library Association. Altman was coeditor of "The JAL Guide to the Professional Literature" in the Journal of Academic Librarianship, a member of the editorial board of Library Quarterly, and a co-author of Performance Measures for Public Libraries. She received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Rutgers School of Communication, Information and Library Studies, in 1983.
Robert E. Dugan is the dean of libraries at the University of West Florida (Pensacola). Prior to assuming this position, he had been at Suffolk University, Boston; Wesley College, Dover, Delaware; and Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. He has also worked in state and public libraries during his 40-year career. He is the co-author of 13 books, including the award-winning Viewing Library Metrics from Different Perspectives (2009).
Jennifer Rowley BA MSc MSc PhD FCLIP CEng MCMI MBCS is Professor of Information and Communications at the Department of Information and Communications, Manchester Metropolitan University.
Sue Roberts BA (Hons) DipLib MA MCLIP is University Librarian at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
Barbara Allan is Dean of Westminster Business School. Her background includes managing workplace and academic libraries. She has spent many years working in business schools where her focus is on enhancing learning, teaching and the student experience, and the internationalization agenda. She was awarded a National teaching Fellowship in 2008 from the Higher Education Academy. Barbara is the author of several Facet Publishing titles including: Project Management (2004), Blended Learning (2007) and The No-nonsense Guide to Training in Libraries (2013).
Sheila Pantry OBE BA FCLIP manages an independent information services consultancy and electronic publishing business, including websites. She has had a long and varied career in information management in a range of industry sectors, and also in government as Head of Information Services for the Health and Safety Executive. She specializes in worldwide occupational health, safety and fire information and is an experienced trainer, writer, editor and lecturer.
