Dr. Zongan Luo, professor and doctoral supervisor, the director of the equipment department of the State Key Laboratory of Digital Steel at Northeastern University, the chief scientist of the sub-direction of National Collaborative Innovation Center for Common Iron and Steel Technologies (2011 Program). He received his B.E., M.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 1990, 1993 and 2006, respectively. He worked at Anshan Iron and Steel from 1993 to 2000 as a technician and engineer.
Dr. Luo focuses on the research related to high-performance composite material process and equipment, additive material preparation technology and equipment, special welding process technology and equipment, and experimental equipment development and intelligent control in processing field. He has chaired and participated in numerous major research projects funded by National 863, National Key Research and Development Program and National Natural Science Foundation of China, presided and completed more than 20 corporate collaborations, achieved a number of innovative results. He has won 5 provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological awards, published more than 50 academic papers as the first author or corresponding author, authorized 25 invention patents, and published 5 monographs. He is also a member of the Academic Committee of Physical Simulation and Numerical Simulation of Materials and Thermal Processing.
Dr. Guangming Xie received his B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 2002, 2004, and 2008, respectively. Since 2008, Dr. Xie has been with the State Key Laboratory of Digital Steel at Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, where he is currently a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor.
Dr. Xie's research focuses on the development and processing of high-end heterogeneous steel clad plates and advanced steel materials. His recent research interests include advanced welding processes, welding metallurgy behaviors, and the design and development of matching welding materials for advanced automotive steels, high-strength pipeline steels, high-manganese steels, stainless steels, and laminated clad materials. Since 2012, Dr. Xie has published over 40 peer-reviewed technical papers in international journals and conferences, with more than 400 citations. He has chaired and participated in numerous major research projects funded by the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and various corporate collaborations. His research has also resulted in the development of heterogeneous laminated clad plate materials that have been widely applied by several domestic steel enterprises. Dr. Xie has been awarded the Second Prize for Metallurgical Science and Technology Progress, among other recognitions. He has been granted over 10 patents and has co-authored two monographs. He is also a member of the Deep Processing Committee of the Chinese Society for Metals and the Welding and Joining Committee of the Nonferrous Metals Society of China.
Dr. Yingying Feng received her B.E., M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Mineral Processing from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, from 2001 to 2010, respectively. She has been working in the State Key Laboratory of Digital Steel at Northeastern University since 2010. She is currently an associate researcher and master supervisor in Northeastern University.
Dr. Feng is mainly engaged in the process simulation and optimization of rolling process, R&D of high-performance composite material process and equipment, development of hydroforming process technology, research and application of mathematical model and intelligent optimization control technology, as well as R&D and application of various types of small and medium-sized experimental equipment. She has chaired and participated in more than 10 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National 863, the National Key R&D Program, and has achieved a number of innovative results. Up to now, she has published more than 30 relevant papers as the first author or corresponding author, including more than 10 SCI papers. She has been granted over 10 national invention patents and co-authored one monograph, and been awarded the Second Prize for Metallurgical Science and Technology Progress, the First Prize for Science and Technology Innovation of Liaoning Province, and the Second Prize for Science and Technology Innovation of Shenyang City.
