Description
The poignant conclusion to the Nanjing Literature Series, My Expression by Lu Xun Literature Prize-winning author Zhu Hui centers on Kong Yang, an editor whose routine life unravels when his first love reappears after eight years abroad. Parallel to this rekindled affair, a family crisis--his sister-in-law's terminal diagnosis--tests the bonds of love and duty. Set in modern Nanjing, this novel captures the subtle, often unspoken tensions of life in a city where ancient history looms over modern anxieties--a story about the entanglements of innocence and maturity, the devastating ripple effects of desire, and the quiet dignity required to face mortality.
