Dinghua Zhang received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in advanced manufacturing engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, China, in 1981, 1984, and 1989, respectively. He was with Cornell University, Ithaca, NY and Rochester University, Rochester, NY as a Visiting Scholar in 1996-1999. He is a full Professor in Northwestern Polytechnical University. His research interests include intelligent NC machining, mold design and manufacturing, digital manufacturing system, and digital testing. Prof. Zhang is a member of ASME, Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and Chinese Aerospace Society. Ming Luo received the B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in advanced manufacturing engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, China, in 2005, 2008 and 2012, respectively. From 2012 to 2017, he was an Assistant Research Fellow in the University. Since 2017, he has been an Associate Research Fellow. His research interest includes multi-axismachining, data-driven intelligent machining, machining process monitoring and optimization. Baohai Wu received the Ph.D. degree in engineering thermophysics from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China, in 2005. From 2008 to 2016, he was an Associate Professor with the Northwestern Polytechnical University. Since 2016, he has been a Professor in the University. His research interest includes CAD/CAM, multi-axis NC machining. Ying Zhang received the Ph.D. degree in advanced manufacturing engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, China, in 2011. From 2014 to 2017, she was an Assistant Research Fellow in Northwestern Polytechnical University. Since 2017, she has been an Associate Research Fellow in the University. Her research interest includes CAD/CAM, multi-axis NC machining.
