The book focuses on the "uncertainty" the world is facing which leads to numerous challenges to global economy. As the global economy grapples with the complexities of the "risk triangle" and microeconomic entities experience significant "oxygen depletion", the challenge of managing uncertainty, moving beyond zero-sum paradigms, and stabilizing the development of expectations has emerged as a critical mission for all countries, including major economies such as China, the United States, Europe, and Japan. The author tries to reveal the key fact behind the economic development in respond to recession economics, that is the economic growth in long term relies on endogenous tecnological advancements and continuous improvements in human capital. It aims to equip readers with the knowledge to find "certainty" in an "uncertain world".

Yugui Zhang is an academic member of the International Finance Forum (IFF), a council member of American Economics Association of China. He has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Outstanding Contribution Award for the first flight of the C919 by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, the First Prize for Excellent Teaching Achievements in Shanghai Higher Education, and the Second Prize for the 14th Shanghai Decision-making and Consulting Research Achievements. As the director, he led the Master of Finance program at Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) to achieve first place in the national evaluation in 2018. He also guided the International Economics and Trade and Accounting programs at SISU to be selected as first-class undergraduate programs by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, and the Finance program to be recognized as a first-class undergraduate program by the Shanghai Municipality.
