Description
The toy world changed forever in 1968. That year Mattel introduced an assortment of 16 die-cast cars that looked like miniature muscle cars. Little did the company realise that the hot-rod looking toys - Hot Wheels - would become the best-selling diecast toy of all time, with over 4 billion sold since their debut. Officially licensed by Mattel, "Warman's Hot Wheels Field Guide, 3rd Edition" contains 800 full-colour images (over 200 of which are new), 100 per cent updated prices, and new info on the state of the Hot Wheels market, the top 10 favorite Hot Wheels cars (includes super rare 1969 pink VW Beach Bomb never before seen in print) of all time according to author Michael Zarnock and the Hot Wheels collecting community, and the process of making a Hot Wheels cars using the Michael Zarnock car as an example.
