These poems were written between 2002 and 2005 mainly during travels in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and America. Often they were the result of reflections on the plight of some of the most vulnerable people on earth. Often these vulnerabilities are the result of American actions around the world that claimed to make the world safer for Americans to live in, but which brought unbearable pain and suffering to others.
