Brave Buddy

Buddy the cat is abandoned in the woods. Despite hardships and setbacks, Buddy perseveres until finally his bravery is rewarded. So many animals would make wonderful companions if only -- like Buddy -- they were given a chance.

This is a much-needed picture book for children to understand the special way of relating to a rescue cat. Children naturally want to run up to a cat, pick up the cat and cuddle. For a cat who may never have had contact with a person or who may have been abused or neglected, this is too much, too soon. In Brave buddy, the little girl takes cues from Buddy the cat. SLOWLY trust and love grow between them. THIS IS RESCUE AT ITS BEST.

The watercolor illustrations by Sholto Walker are so compelling that they could tell the story without words.
