Alexis York Lumbard is a storyteller and children's book author, who is currently working on three children's books which are all scheduled for publication. Her first book, The Conference of the Birds (illustrated by Demi) was released in 2012 to much critical acclaim. Having noticed a lamentable absence of high quality books of spiritual substance for the earliest of readers, she began writing her own stories since becoming a mother in 2005. With a B.A. in Religious Studies from George Washington University, it is her sincere hope to bring the wisdom and beauty of the world's religions to the eager and gifted minds of young children. Alexis, her husband, and three children live in Newton, MA. Flavia Weedn is a prolific award-winning artist and illustrator. She has written and illustrated 17 books, including 10 for children's ,and her lines of greeting cards, translated into many different languages, are sent by over 18 million people each year. Flavia's original paintings can be found in the Smithsonian Institute archives, the AT&T Collection. She has received editorial coverage in Newsweek, People, Glamour, The Wall Street Journal, and TheLos Angeles Times. Her books have been included in the National Literacy Campaign. Flavia lives in Santa Barbara, CA with her adult son.
