Yu Yi is a picture book storyteller. She was born and raised in "the mountain city", Chongqing. She used to be a Chinese teacher and a children's book editor. Now she is a full-time picture book creator.
Her representative works include "Thunmp! Thump! Thump!", "A Ray of Light" and "The Cat that Has Visited A Million Citites". Her works have garnered her the BolognaRagazzi Award (Fiction) Special Mention and Bing Xin Children's Literature Award.
