Fujibayashi Yasutake was a member of the Fujibayashi family and the Iga clan, a prominent ninja family. In 1676 he compiled the various secret writings and techniques of ninjutsu held by the clan. This became the Bansenshukai, or Book of Ninja.
Alexander Bennett is a professor of history and culture at Kansai University in Japan. He is the translator of a number of works, including The Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi and Hagakure: The Secret Wisdom of the Samurai by Yamamoto Tsunetomo. Bennett is also an accomplished martial artist and founded the journal Kendo World.
