Dr. Jinyang Xu is an associate professor and a doctoral supervisor of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. He was awarded the Shanghai Pujiang Scholar by the Shanghai Municipality in 2017. He received his M.Sc. (2013) in Mechanical Manufacturing & Automation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, and the Ph.D. (2016) in Mechanical Engineering & Materials from Arts et Métiers ParisTech, France. His research interests focus on composites machining, numerical modeling, micro/nano cutting, and surface texturing. He is now serving as an associate editor of Simulation - Transactions of the Society for Modeling and Simulation International (indexed by SCIE/EI). He is also on the editorial board of several JCR-ranked journals, including Green Materials, International Journal of Aerospace Engineering, Advances in Materials Science and Engineering,
