Description
Diana was raised on a Minnesota dairy farm, but it was a pig that started her career path. She went from sewing a tiny pig flap into a heart valve, to engineering a new concept modifying the orifice of the valve, to founding her own medical device company.
In Too Damb Dumb To Think, Diana shares intimate and relentless questions that plagued her as she faced the traumas of hostile corporate board meetings, an arduous backpacking journey in the Colorado Rockies, hospitalization, rehabilitation, and her identity quest. It’s a trail of discovery. And as she strives to maintain her audacious grasp on life, she learns that wallowing in the mud may be necessary for a time, but staying there is not allowed.

DIANA WRIGHT is a visionary who views her life as a blank canvas meant to be rendered in audacious color. She was born in 1947 and grew up on a farm in rural Minnesota. Balancing full time work, part time school, parenting, and being a wife to a Vietnam veteran, after nine years she earned her degree in biological science at CSU Fullerton. She went on to engineer medical devices and later founded her own medical device manufacturing company. Diana worked with a heart surgeon in London, oversaw production facilities in Holland, and coordinated with a world wide sales force. She bravely shares a segment of her story here so that others might create their own portrait of vitality. Dr. BERNIE DeCOKE grew up in Colorado, where she obtained an MA in Psychology/Guidance & Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. She became a college instructor and therapist, a warrior with a mission to help students and clients build a core of dignity and self-respect. Later, she merged the body, mind, and spirit triad she believes necessary for total health with doctorates in Naturopathy and Metaphysics. Bernie perfectly complements Diana's voice and contributes much to interpreting Diana's story.
