This study of Bezaas pastoral theology, based on a thorough examination of his writings, uncovers a new portrait of the third generation reformer. The picture that emerges is not of a cold, removed, overly-intellectual academic, but a committed Christian troubled by the vicissitudes of life. He believed that only the biblical truth of the supreme sovereignty of God could support believers on their earthly pilgrimage to heaven.
