Description
In the book the proceedings of the Workshop Scattering by Aggregates (on Surfaces) are printed. The meeting was held at Institut für Werkstofftechnik, Bremen on March 24 + 25, 2014.
The papers demonstrate
the wide interdisciplinary nature of the interest in light scattering
by particles and particle aggregates. They highlight that it is important
to consider the surface aggregates are positioned on. There is particle
surface scattering interaction and any light scattering theory has to
account for this interaction. The theoretical treatment illustrates the
present-day research topics in various fields, covering aspects like
plasmonics, evanescent-wave scattering, plasmonic waveguides and
Gaussian beam scattering.
THOMAS WRIEDT
is head of Optical Particle Characterization
